Formatting in the HTML editor changes the entire page

Hi,

I just tried out the HTML editor for the first time. I have two editors that are part of a form. The first is for the message, the second for trade fair details. As the trade fair details do not change often, they are pre filled and formatted.

When changing the style to cursive for just one word in the message editor, the entire email changes to cursive (all form fields and other text). I also noticed, that the css sometimes changes for no apparent reason.

Did I mess up anything?

It could be that the class you are using for cursive styling in the editor is a common class used in areas of the site.

I would need to see the problem in the browser though to have a definitive answer.

I am not sure what happened. I am not able to reproduce the mistake. The class for cursive styling would be set by the editor.

There is two other problems:

All the editing options that I included work well except for text colour. In the editor the colour changes for example to red, but in the email the text is still black.

In the first editor, there is no initial text. But in the browser the editor enters a space.The editor user has to delete the space, so that the first line is not indented. This is how the code looks like:
<?php
// WebAssist iRite: Rich Text Editor for Dreamweaver
$WARichTextEditor_2 = CreateRichTextEditor ("fieldset_group_Nachricht", "../HTMLEditor/", "550px", "400px", "Custom", "../custom/emailMessage2_fieldset_group_Nachricht1.js", "".((isset($_GET["invalid"])?ValidatedField("emailMessage2","fieldset_group_Nachricht"):"")) ."");
?>

Once I had it on the remote server, the colour works.

Still, the editor adds a space in the editor window. Any ideas?

No, not sure why it's adding the space, does it happen in all browsers? or only in one?

do you have a link where i can see the issue.
