WA_SHA1Encryption Decrypt?

WA_SHA1Encryption Decrypt?

I am using the WA_SHA1Encryption format when inserting a record to my MySQL database via PHP and successfully encrypt a value on my WA DataAssist insert form per instructions I found on the forums.

My next question would be how do I decrypt them in the *Results.php page so that they can be viewed?

Please advise and thanks in advance!

SHA1 is a one way encryption format, it cannot be decrypted.

Hey Jason! Good to "see" you. I just read that on another post...bummer. What/Is there a way to save the form value as encrypted in the database and then be able to decrypt it later? I am not super concerned about security but I need to make sure the value is not plain text either. What do you suggest?

It's a little outside my realm. Is there nothing in the form of a sample I can use that has the WA insert and results pages using a simple encryp/decrypt such as MD5 or a custom key? I am not worried about long term storage of data, just interested in hiding the values from casual viewers perusing the database.

No this is not something we have a plugin to accomplish, you will need to do some hand coding to get this working.
