URGENT! Dreaweaver CS5 error messages

I don't know where to post this thread, but since I am working with the registration pack, hopefully I can get some immediate help here.

I have only installed the Web Assist extensions that are listed in the CD5 compatibility chart. I have a condsiderable number of extensions installed such as those from Project 7. I got the attached error message when attempting to boot up Dreamweaver today. I clicked on the instructions for deleting the .dat file, but before trying this to solve the issue, I want to know if this will also affect all of the other extensions that I have installed.

The Web Assist extensions that I have previously installed have been compatable with the others. I have tried uninstalling the last few I have installed before getting this error message, but it has not solved this issue.

Really need some immediate help on this!

go to Window -> Workspace Layouts -> Reset '<Your layout name>'

then delete the cache file. deleting the cache file will not effect your other extensions that are installed.

Uninstall Extensions

Before receiving your reply, I uninstalled all of the Web Assist extensions and installed one and find Dreamweaver funtioning now as it should.

Is the only way to troubleshoot what is causing this issue, is to re-install the Web Assist extensions one by one and then check each time to see if Dreamweaver is funtioning properly and if not uninstall that extension?

the troubleshooting process differs depending on the error message.

In the case of the error message you where receiving, resetting the workspace payout and deleting the cache file should have corrected the issue without needing to uninstall / reinstall everything.

No matter what the error, the first troubleshooting step is to delete the cache file.

if the error occurs after uninstalling something, you should also reset the workspace payout.
