extra characters in the url

I am using the latest products and have installed the Digital download with ecart. Everything seems to be working except that when the user logs in to access the cart the following characters are appended to the url
&accesscheck=%2Fklickmedigital%2Fcart.php%3F
How do I eliminate these extra characters?

on the login page, double click the Security assist Authenticate user server behavior and uncheck the Pass the original query string on redirect option.
