Changing Mandatory Fields

I am using the default theme for creating a store. Is there a work around to be able to delete/not show a price on either or both of the left and right pods? This field is mandatory for both in the descriptions panel.

Client wants to show a featured artist with the photo of the piece of art in the pod, but no price until the "learn more" link is clicked on.

do you mean the featured item and most popular item pods on the index page?

if so, you can edit the popularbox.php and feraturedbox.php files in the webassist/plugins/catalog folder and remove the price.

Changing Mandatory Fields

Yes, that is what I am talking about. I took a look a both of the php files earlier today, but since I don't know how these work in terms of linking to the main detail files, I didn't want to make any changes until I got some direction!

If I removed/deleted the code below from the featurebox.php, would this get the job done? Would it have any effect on the prouct detail page which shows the actual price of a product and for the cart?

I am not proficient at all in PHP, so I dare not make any changes, unless I get some guidance in this regard.

Thanks for your help!

<div class="productPrice">
<h3>$<?php echo(($row_FeaturedRS)?(number_format($row_FeaturedRS['ProductPrice'],2)):"24.99"); ?></h3>
</div>

yes, removing that code will do the trick.
