Getting Session Errors...

Our contact form has been working fine for the past couple of months... but all of sudden its started throwing up errors... this is the error that is appearing at the top of the page...

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(C:\WINDOWS\Temp\sess_c36af3620fe2be2c63e806691dfeaeaa, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in D:\inetpub\vhosts\platinumselect.com\httpdocs\linkexchange\WA_ValidationToolkit\WAVT_ValidatedForm_PHP.php on line 3

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at D:\inetpub\vhosts\platinumselect.com\httpdocs\linkexchange\WA_ValidationToolkit\WAVT_ValidatedForm_PHP.php:3) in D:\inetpub\vhosts\platinumselect.com\httpdocs\linkexchange\WA_ValidationToolkit\WAVT_ValidatedForm_PHP.php on line 3

AND this is the error at the bottom...

Warning: Unknown: open(C:\WINDOWS\Temp\sess_c36af3620fe2be2c63e806691dfeaeaa, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in Unknown on line 0

Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (C:\WINDOWS\Temp) in Unknown on line 0

Any ideas why this has started happening?? Thanks in advance!

contact your host, they need to fix the session.save_path in the php.ini file.

the error is saying that the session.save_path either does not exist or cannot be accessed to start the session.

Thank you for your reply!

Can anyone else give more detail regarding this issue! i.e. What needs to be done to the php.ini file? I've contacted our hosts support, and they're asking for $90 an hour to work on it.
So would it be something that we could fix?

they need to fix the session.save_path in the php.ini file.

session.configuration.php#ini.session.save-path

this is not something they should be charging you for, I would expect as part of my hosting account that session management be working. the fix should take them all of about 1 minute to accomplish

If they are charging you for a basic aspect of php programing like sessions, i would be looking for a new host.
