Thread began 11/04/2010 12:34 pm by wbrooks199805 | Last modified 11/09/2010 7:43 am by Jason Byrnes | 1754 views | 7 replies |

UE4 not sending emails

Using Godaddy as server..same settings as always. Please advise why this is not sending.

I just saw this on the php.ini file SMTP = relay-hosting.secureserver.net

I usually use "mail.secureserver.net". Does this mean its different now?

the trigger you selected, any form post will not work on this page. nothing posts to the details page, you would need to use before page load as the trigger.

you cant just copy the code from the detail page to the insert page.

the insert page now has 2 problems:

1) The insert record behavior redirects to the detail page before the email can be sent.

2) The insert page does not have the WADAusers recordset on it that is set to be used as the email address column.

to put the behavior on the insert page, you will need to use the form data, not the recordset data and you will need to edit the insert record behavior so that it does not redirect to the details page.

That didn't work

Your solution didn't work because its database driven and has to stay that way for the image to load to the email. But the email finally came through..just took a bit.

Like i said in my origianl reply, you can leave it on the detail page, you would just need to use the before page load trigger instead of the any form submit trigger.

Or if you leave ot on the insert page, then you will need to create a recordset.
