Power CMS admin login

My Power CMS was working perfectly! Then I migrated the site over to a new server (new server had all the same software running). Please Help, cause now I get this when I try to access the admin login page:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@fresnoteachers.org and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

after changing the server, did you update the PCMS Remote Root in the wa_settings table of the powercms database?

can you send a link where I can see the error? this may help me get a better idea of the cause.

PowerCMS changed host server

No, I have not updated any settings. Would you please walk me through what I need to do?

in the wa_settings table, the Remote Root should be set to:
/CMS/

you will also need to edit the database connection file to use the correct details to connect to the new mysql server.

PowerCMS login issue

Okay, I checked the PCMS Remote Root and the "value" is set to "/CMS/"

and "variable" has "pcms_remote_root"

Here's what is in the connections file:

<?php
# FileName="Connection_php_mysql.htm"
# Type="MYSQL"
# HTTP="true"
$hostname_PowerCMSConnection = "localhost";
$database_PowerCMSConnection = "fresnot_site";
$username_PowerCMSConnection = "fresnot";
$password_PowerCMSConnection = "frest0912";
$PowerCMSConnection = mysql_pconnect($hostname_PowerCMSConnection, $username_PowerCMSConnection, $password_PowerCMSConnection) or trigger_error(mysql_error(),E_USER_ERROR);
?>

Hostname, db, username and pw here all appear to be in tact. Yikes... it's gotta be something simple. Please help.

I'm attaching the CMS/index.php and the /CMS/admin/user_login.php files for you to look at. I'm hoping to get this resolved today. Thanks.

I have no way of knowing if this is the correct connection information or not, you should contact the host to determine what should be entered to connect to the mysql server.

I guess I just wanted to be sure you didn't see anything out of order from the WA solutions end. In the meantime, I will test the db connection.

no, i dont see anything out of the ordinary.

The error you report is a difficult one to diagnose because there are not details to help determine what is wrong. perhaps if you contact the host, the could look into the error logs to help pinpoint where to look.

Lone Wolf...Howling at the Moon

Hello Jason. I have a site that I deleted form my dedicated server as the client stated he was going out of business. I retained the site with cms on a local storage device. Today I re-installed the domain, check the dns and we have connection to the server. I added a new data base and was successful in testing connection from my local work station to the remote data base.
I am getting a Server error.
I watched the video online and opened a file locally and chose to view it in a browser... it seemed to work fine in terms of loading files to the sever but the page threw a serve error page.
Next, I tried clicking on the local menu here to open the WA Cms window but it will not open.. I am lost short of deleting all WA and starting from scratch...
Any suggestions?
