Setting Up UPS Realtime Shipping

I will be using te UPS real time rate look up. Is there any videos on the best way or the different options that can be used. I have alot of different products that are all very different in size and weight and are shipped to all over. Any advice, tutorials or info would be greatly appreciated. Right now it doesnt matte how many pieces I put into the cart when testing on my local server, th shipping charges always come back at one dollar.

If you click on this page:

ecart/

and then click on the Archived Documentation and scroll down to:

Database-driven Shopping Options

you should have some tutorials to help you in setting up shipping.

But it seems that you have static values entered instead of dynamic values. which is why you are getting the same shipping rate.

Can I go ahead and start adding my products to the cart an worry about tweaking the ups shipping options later or do I need to get that straight first?

Yeah, you can worry about shipping after you have all your products added to eCart.

thank you. one last question. some of my products weght almost nothing. I have set up in oz's. Will I be able to set th weight for those products as like 1/10 of an oz , etc?

Yes, you probably can enter .1, however, i know there is some minimum weight that these shipping providers could take, so they might treat the .1oz weight as a 0 or very close to it. But as you test it, you should be able to figure out if setting the weight that lows actually returns a shipping charge.
