Spam and New fields randomly generated?!

Hello,

Uploaded a form and checked it works. It seems to work without problem in that it sends me an email but is regarded as SPAM each time! Not sure how to make it not SPAM.

Also, the oddest thing is I created a simple form with just the defaults but when I receive the confirmation email, there are extra 'areas' that are full of 'lorem ipsum' that don't appear on my Dreamweaver page! How odd. How do I remove them or adapt them?

Please see screenshots attached.

Cheers

As far as the Spam goes, that is because of your email client and has nothing to do with CSS Form Builder. A lot of times, many clients and email servers look for certain words and content. My guess is the fact that it is coming from an email address named "test" and with a bunch of Lorum Ipsum fill text, that the email client just thinks it is Spam.

To get rid of the fill text, you should be able to edit the template after selecting it and get rid of the fields you don't want. The templates contain several populated fields just for example reasons but those fields and rows can be completely removed.

Best regards,

Brian

Hello,

Thanks for the info. I can see how all the Lorem Ipsum could make it look like SPAM but I didn't add any when I created the form. It was just a simple test form with minimum settings / fields. If you look at the screenshots from Dreamweaver and from the FB interface, notice I haven't added any fields other than just what FB suggests. I can't see any of the extra fields to edit / delete them.

Puzzled. Can you shed any light on this?

Thanks.

Just a thought but my Spam Filter marks emails as SPAM if I send a test email with the same to and from email address. Basically I send the email to myself.

Hi Mike,

Just done another send using the Contact Form. I can't see any fields in Dreamweaver on the Contact Form to delete all the Lorem Ipsum it's generating.

Please see attached screenshot of the email it sends to me. This goes straight to SPAM but when I move it to my INBOX, I see this.

Any ideas how to remove the Lorem Ipsum I've not asked it to generate (or in fact I can't see in DWCS5)?

Thanks

Hi
Im pretty sure this is in the email body(template) that Universal email uses. I have not used FB2 but I thnk once you have created the form and inserted it on the page. In the DW server bahviours panel double click on the Universal Email Server beahviour it will open up giving you the option to customise your email content.

Mike is correct... after opening the Universal Email server behavior, you will see the option to edit the template. You have a choice to edit the code or you can click "edit in Dreamweaver" which will give you WYSIWYG editing capabilities of the form.

Best regards,

Brian

Hi Folks,

Thanks for the guidance. I was hoping the program would be as simple to use as is stated on WA's website but it appears not.

This is what I've done so far:

1 - I opened the Server Behaviour panel in DWCS5 (screenshot 1).
2 - UE opened up and I clicked the DW Edit button. (screenshot 2).
3 - DW opened this file (screenshot 3) but it's blank and waits for me to 'add' content to it. I'm looking to delete content.

Very confusing.
I noted on another thread that there is no downloadable HELP guide - so this doesn't help!

Any ideas folks?

When you edit you can bind form fields in the email. So anything that was included in the form can be in the email.

Once you have done it it will prove easy in future.

If you select the option to Create a file for the email, Universal Email will create a template file in the webassist/email/templates directory.

you do not need to edit the email in Universal Email, edit the template file directly.
