Ian,

Could you attach the code from your page here. Without seeing the code, it is tough to tell where the problem is originating.

Best regards,

Brian

update

Hi

sorry, silly me. End of a long day and having got it working on my test server was a bit shall we say upset ;-(

I've attached all the site files except the images and template files because I'm not at all sure where my error os==is

I've had a look this morning and just cant see why there is no database connection on any of the pages .

I have tested the connection and it is viable.

thanks

Ian

the no database selected error means that there is a problem with the database connection file. It usually happens if the table being selected in the SQL SELECT statement doesnt exist on the server.

it can also happen if the database being used in the connection file does not exist on the remote MySQL server.

it sounds to me like the DB on the remote server does not have the same set of tables as the DB on the local server.

Hi Jason

I dumped the sql for the two tables on my local server and deleted the tables on the remote.

I then ran the sql to put the tables inot the remote database.

I now get the error

Warning: mysql_select_db(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/fhlinux010/y/yachtsandboatsforsale.co.uk/user/htdocs/WA_SecurityAssist/Helper_PHP.php on line 14

Warning: mysql_query(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/fhlinux010/y/yachtsandboatsforsale.co.uk/user/htdocs/WA_SecurityAssist/Helper_PHP.php on line 20

looking at these lines sound like there is a problem with $WA_Auth_Parameter["connection"])

What does this line mean?

thanks

Ian
