Image Resizer or Resize on Upload?

I am thinking of getting this extension and have now read all of the IR pages.

Can someone explain why this method should be used instead of the resize on upload in UE4?

It allows more flexability after the fact. If you resize on upload, then change your design later, then you may not have the correct size any more. Also if you use the same image multiple times of different sizes, you don't have to actually save the multiple image field names in the database and you aren't restricted to using only those.

Thanks Ray

One last question.....

Does this solution support transparent sections of an image therefore leaving them transparent?

Yes it does, another user AlaskaTom posted this example to show how transparent PNG's are treated
