DetailDownloads

I'm trying to populate this in my orders summary... does anyone know what I populate it with? The Digital Goods tutorial overlooks that portion.

I'm afraid I don't really understand your question.

What exactly are you doing and what precise effect are you trying to achieve. It is very unclear by your post.

I went through the Delivering Digital Goods tutorials on your site and I want to limit a persons download after purchase to 5. In order to do that, I need to have a counter in my table (Detail Downloads). The problem I'm having is in My order details summary, I don't know what value to bind it with so it can populate correctly. I hope that makes sense.

You should be able to add an order details summary filtered by the orderID from the orders recordset... if I understand you correctly.

What server language are you using?

Im using PHP. I'm already using the order details summary filtered by order id, I was just specifically asking what value to I attach to the DetailDownloads column of my orderID recordset? I hope that makes sense, Im pretty new at this, so please forgive me if i don't quite have the jargon down.

I think DetailDownloads is supposed to be a column you added to your order details table in your database. I'm sorry but I still don't quite understand what you are asking. I'm not very familiar with that particular tutorial.

I'm not too familiar with the particular solution recipe... I assume you are trying to increment this value by 1. Most likely it has you create a recordset to get the current value of the number of downloads from that field in the database, and so then you would set its value to the current amount you have looked up in a recordset + 1.

If you can see how to set it to the current amount, then you should be able to set it to the current amount + 1.
