Session Management

There is a problem with session management on your server. Contact your hosting provider to fix the problem. For more information, please refer to the PHP manual.
===========

i am using mosso.com aka rackspace for my host.

we have had many installs of powerstore 3 go thru with no problem in the past.

I need a solution to get by this.

Thank you, Jason

this error means that the test session created install/index.php page did not carry over to the install/1.php page. It means that sessions are not maintaining state.

Ussually this happens as a result of a bad session.save_path setting in the php.ini file.

your host will need to fix the session management issues.

the fix

the fix was easy just find your hosts server settings and update where sessions are saved. or ask them to do this.

in my case i had to make a .htaccess that redirected the sessions to a new directory that i created.

thanks for the help. hopefully this post helps someone else

I have this same issue on GoDaddy

I have this same issue on GoDaddy. What exactly should I ask GoDaddy to change? I can't seem to find a console to access the file, so I guess they will need to help me...

same

I just got the same issue with "FatCow" and it will be great to know what, exactly, I have to ask them to do. Thanks.

Usually session management issues are a problem with the session.save_path setting in the php.ini file
