Bad Links on Home Page in PS4

Bad Links on Home Page in PS4

In PS4 on the home page, the photo link under "Featured Product, and both the button and photo link under "Most Popular" are "capitilization challenged" and are, as such, broken.

I only checked it under the original skin, but I assume it is the same for all skins.

I'd appreciate the updated file for my overwriting pleasure. Things are becoming a bit needle-in-haystack.

Thanks.

Eric

Have you uploaded a product yet? The index page starts with a placeholder that won't be a valid link since there are no products to link to, but once you have uploaded at least one live product it should become the featured and most popular product and the links should work.

Do you have a url where I can see the problem?

I see... yes this is a bug. It appears to be a case sensativity issue. We tried to update every page and link to all lower case, but it appears this one got by.

You can fix it on the page: webassist/plugins/catalog/popularbox.php
on line 43 update Products_Detail.php to products_detail.php

I apologize for the inconvenience. We'll get this into the the next dot release.

Another one

Thanks Ray-

I found another one of these case items:

This one on the backend, when viewing a user just after the search, then going to "View Details", that link is looking for ".... /admin/users_Detail.php" rather than the extant ".... /admin/users_detail.php".

I'll keep this going here as I find more.

Rather than going in and correcting it, I renamed a copy of the file to cover all the bases. Shouldn't matter, should it?

That should work, but if you ever wanted to update that file you would have to remember to update both places if you haven't corrected the links. Thanks for letting us know, I'll get it updated.

Yet another one

The link to the bottom placeholder image file, "lower_img.png", in the default theme points to the "Images" directory. It's "images", lowercase.

You can probably find: Images/
and replace with: images/

using a case-sensitive find/replace on the whole site from dreamweaver. We will make sure this issue is fixed in the upcoming dot release.

Another.

Yup.

When Cancelling out of a PS4 Backend New Coupon dialog, it want's "/admin/coupons_Results.php" which is also case-challenged. Should be "/admin/coupons_results.php".

I'll make sure we fix that one as well. We did a lot of testing on a linux server which was case sensitive, so I'm surprised we missed so many. I'll make sure that is addressed in the upcoming dot release.
