Template Won't Update to Pages

I have updated the text in the left sidebar on my stock sitesculptor template. The box pops up asking if I want to update all files based on the template and I click update. However, when I look at the pages based on the template, none of them reflect the text changes in the left sidebar. The filler text remains. Any help is appreciated.

make sure that none of the pages are opened in Dreamweaver when the template update is being applied.

None of the pages are open. The log says none of the files were updated but all were examined.

are you making a change inside of an editable region?

if you change code inside an editable region on the template, it will be sent top the pages based on the template.

I'm making changes inside the left sidebar. It's an editable region I believe.

yes, the :
<!-- TemplateEndEditable -->

at the end means you are editing _inside_ an editable region.

you can only edit inside an editable region on a page by page basis, not on the template.

any changes made on the template _inside_ an editable region will not be applied to the pages.

The editable regions are regions you change on individual pages.

I assume I have to copy/paste to the sidebar of each individual page? Or is there a way to make the changes on the template and have them update the pages as in SiteAssist Pro?

make your change outside of the editable region.
