Modding to get a vertical ribbon

Modding to get a vertical ribbon

Hi,

I'm not a Power Gallery user yet, but I'm thinking of it for a client. The only thing that doesn't seem to fit this customer's requirements is the one about a vertical ribbon instead of an horizontal one.

Is it possible to customize the CSS and the motools script so that it's working vertically or would it require an heavier hack ? I'm more accustomed to jQuery.

Many thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Guillaume Chantraine

it would require completely recreating the gallery div structure and the CSS. It would not be a simple modification to make.

Thanks for your reply Jason.

Just to make sure I understand the implications correctly :
This would mean the mootools javascript used in Power Gallery is natively capable of handling vertical scrolling if the HTML and CSS are set the right way; or would it also require that I modify this script or even replace it with another one ?

I should be able to handle PHP/HTML/CSS modifications without too much problems. But I've never used the mootools framework. I believe my knowledge of javascript should help but it might be my main weakness if I decide to go this route.

[don't mind the title of the post... just a misplaced captcha entry LOL]

the script will need modifying as well to move vertically, this is not something we will be able to offer support for.
