Adding a column by adding divs

Hello all,

i am currently testing CSS Sculptor and trying to see how powerfull it really is. So I have a question.

Suppose I choose the one column fixed centered design and I want to customize the CSS.

I then want to add a column to the left through the customize css part by adding a div via the BOX tab. How would I go about creating this column on the left?

Regards,

Martin

add the new div inside the Content Wrapper.

Set the width of the new div to 200px, the set the left margin of the content div to 200px.

CSS Menu Writer is for creating a CSS Layout, you cannot edit a layout that has been applied to a page.

however, you can save the layout as a preset, then when creating a new page, start with the saved preset, and make changes from there.

This works perfectly however I do have one more question. How would one go about and aligning this div and it's content at the top in CSS Sculptor, so it is at the same horizontal level as the text in the div on the right (H1 Main Content and so on)? Because now it stays to the left and below the whole content div.

I assume you mean CSS Sculptor? Or am I missing something?:-).

For the new div that is added, you will also need to set the float attribute to left, and make sure it is before the content div in the component tree.

Yes, I meant to type CSS Sculptor instead of Menu Writer.

Sold:-)!

Well I have now tested the CSS Design Suite enough to make up my mind.

I only want to stick to CSS Sculptor. I will request a full reimbursement under the 15 days money back guarantee and then buy CSS Sculptor again as a seperate extension (so I also have a correct invoice for the tax folks).

Thanks for the help Jason.

In future I might be back for more help:-).

Regards,

Martin
