Checkbox group problems with css form builder (BUG)

Hello again, im trying to build a complex form that has many groups with tones of group checkbox so i selected the wide and also narrow when i get the panel to edit the group checkbox the first 5 are easy to add or edit but after the fifth element in the list the software starts to crash or to display a blank list some times it deletes them all or some times they are just simply there but everything is white.

Seems to be a bug cause im having the same issue on my normal pc and also on my notebook.

Normal pc windows 7 ultimate 32bits
2 disk of 500 gb.
4 gb of mem
gforce 8800 gtx
DW 4
super suite

----------------------------

Notebook
Hp pavilion DV 9000
2gb mem
hd 500gb
Windows vista
DW 4
Super suite
**********************************

Check the pictures to see the behavoir of the CSS formbuilder component when working with group checkbox,

it happens this way on every single checkbox group or lists:

  1. Adding first five items with thier values list work perfect inserts them and i can edit them without trouble
  2. Adding the fifth item list goes totaly white i save the list or keep working if i save the list next step
  3. Opening alist with more than 5 items display the list white, if i add more i can add but have to click every field to make the new one apear, if i delete more than 3 items the list completly is deleted.
  4. Adding over 7 items some items apear on the list randomly.
  5. When list has a lot of items it shows an vertical scroll bar, adding a new item will not apear have to scroll down to the end click the last item then scroll again until i find the last item is to many items it would be many scroll seems to show last of every 6 items.
  6. After 10 to 12 items the list apears even when editing it now each 4 to 5 items goes white or apears again.

Have tested and retested on 2 difrent computers same issue so i guess it can be a bug so hope you guys can give it a check for next update or upgrade of the css form builder.

thank you for reporting this issue.

I have been able to reproduce this on a Windows system, testing on a mac did not show the same issue.

this has been logged in our system as a bug to be fixed for a future release.

Has this issue been addressed?

This thread is more than 3 months old...

I am using the newest version of FormBuilder 2.0.0 and I am having the same issue. I can only add limited options before I am being cut off. There is no scroll bar allowing me to see/add more. The plug-in also adds a blank "Label" field once I reach the limit - please see screen capture.

Please advise...

I am not able to reproduce the issue in form builder 2.

What version of Dreamweaver are you using?

What is your OS?

Have you tried deleting the Dreamweaver cache file from the users configuration folder:

Deleting the Cache did not help...

I am using CS4 on Windows XP Pro

The issues the original post identified appear to be identical to the ones I am experiencing. Is it possible there are still remnants from FormBuilder 1 that are mistakenly used? I have changed many style sheet options so I would prefer not to have to delete any.

Thanks

I have created a support incident in order to look into this issue further.

Please update that incident with a good phone number and time to reach you and we can try debugging this issue over the phone in order to find a solution.

I found this in the incident:

I was able to reproduce the issue on Windows Only with Form Builder 2 and i have logged a bug in our bug base.

To fix thie issue i have attached a WAFB_ListValues.htm file which will need to replace your file.

With Dreamweaver Closed pleae replace the attached file (WAFB_ListValues.htm) under this location:

C:\Users\<Your User>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\en_US\Configuration\Commands

delete the cache file before restarting Dreamweaver.

Attached Files
listvalues.zip
