Pro Maps and W3C Validation

Hi I always get errors, on sites where i put on of my pro maps they all see to be around the same area listed below first doctype is:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

and errors are:

Error Line 165, Column 46: general entity "action" not defined and no default entity
…tpObject.send("sender=promapsforgoogle&action=add&entryId="+entryId+"&address="

Line 165, Column 52: reference to entity "action" for which no system identifier could be generated
…tpObject.send("sender=promapsforgoogle&action=add&entryId="+entryId+"&address="

Line 165, Column 57: general entity "entryId" not defined and no default entity
…tpObject.send("sender=promapsforgoogle&action=add&entryId="+entryId+"&address="

Line 165, Column 64: reference to entity "entryId" for which no system identifier could be generated
…tpObject.send("sender=promapsforgoogle&action=add&entryId="+entryId+"&address="

Anyone any ideas regards Alistair

the Google maps API generates HTML to display the map on the fly using Javascript.

The W3C validation service is complaining about the map components that created by the API.

The code generated by the Google Map API needs to be cross browser compliant.

It is near impossible to generate cross browser compliant code that is also standards compliant.

Having lots of W3C valdation errors with code generated from pro maps for google on a page with doctype as below

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

A couple of the errors taken at random:

Line 184, Column 46: general entity "action" not defined and no default entity…tpObject.send("sender=promapsforgoogle&action=add&entryId="+entryId+"&address="

Line 498, Column 64: reference not terminated by REFC delimiter…tpObject.send("sender=promapsforgoogle&action=add&entryId="+entryId+"&address="

Is your previous reply from a while back still valid and the cause of the problems with W3c validation?

YEs, the problem is that the code being generated by the google map API to display the map is not W3C compliant.
