How to do list/menu with ecart button in ecart 5 php

How to do list/menu with ecart button in ecart 5 php

Is there a document with a procedure for using a menu with item names to the ecart button?

I tried to use the list option on the ecart button bindings name, but the menu only populates with one name, instead of the 10 available

I can to create my own menu which works. I link this to the ecart button bindings name. However when I press the add cart button it does not pass the item selected to the display page.

The thing that makes me crazy is I had this working on ecart 4 with asp.

Now that I am trying to recreate the page in ecart 5 with PHP, I can't get it to work, or remember what I did.

Please Help.

Have you set the list to be created from a recordset?

in design view, click the select list, then click the Dynamic button in the property inspector.

in the dynamic properties dialog, you can select the recordset to use, set both the name and the value to use the product name column.

Yes I tried this, but I get the following message box popup;

Adobe Dreamweaver CS3
The chosen menu already has a Dynamic Menu server behavior attached to it.
Please chose a menu which does not already contain this server behavior, or click Cancel.

I could not find a way around this so I tried to create my own menu, and link it to the hidden field for ID instead. This almost works but when using the web page you have to click the add to cart button twice, and after the first time it wipes out some of the elements on the page.

Is there a way to get it around the error message?
