Update pages with HTML Editor

Update pages with HTML Editor

My client's website has a product catalog with update product pages for the admin. The page has two HTML editor boxes, in order to edit short and long description. Whenever the client goes to update the price or UPC, the short and long descriptions disappears and he needs to retype it in. Is there way to get this to stop happening, so the description will stay there without disappearing?

Open the editor in DW. Click on the lightning symbol next to the text area field called "initial Value" and select the appropriate field from the recordset. Each time you make a change to the html editor in dreamweaver, you have to reset this initial value. Always best, I've found, to leave this to the very last step before saving. HTH
