lightning bolts don't show in Dynamic Data dialog box

In trying to store the order summery setup, durring the checkout wizard the lightning bolts don't show in Dynamic Data dialog box.

There is one next to the value box but it does not accept step 3 which is defining the testing server, which is already setup correctly for the project.

Is there something I need to do before starting the Checkout Wizard? Record sets are already defined on products pages.

found the problem

problem was the testing server folder did not contain website folder name it was just set to C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\
other web pages worked fine with this setting which was confusing.

the solution works only apears to work. The pages generated such as confirm paig will not work because the site name is added to the code as /sitename/ which makes the page fail.

Is there a way around this?

I'm not sure I quite follow your description of the problem, can you explain in detail how the site name is added to the code? are you referring the require_once code?

Most problems like this are an issue with the site definition. See the "Defining a Dynamic Site in Dreamweaver" tutorial on the learning resources page:

Originally the local server contained ;
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\

which did not allow me to do links to the database durring the checkout wizard. Then I changed it to;
C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ultimate_air_vent\ which made it seem to work fine.

The problem then was that the confirm.asp would not work because it contained the line,
<!--#include file="\ultimate_air_vent\WA_eCart/WA_eCart_Database_VB.asp" -->
I posted a separate issue on this. I then needed to change the line in the code to;
<!--#include file="WA_eCart/WA_eCart_Database_VB.asp" -->

This made it somewhat work but it now gets an error saying the shipping info is a miss match. This may be unrelated.

One thing you should know is that I needed to reload dreamweaver a some point after I originally created the website, and it did not save the site definition, which i needed to redo. I now know that I need to specifically save the website info in a ste file.

Anyway although my sight was up and running, I am just now adding a merchant account which is why this part is somewhat new for me.
