Static Database in ECart

I just want to add the static item for the ecart, but I seem to not be able to find where to input the product information. I read the tutorial that said create the catalog, but where/how in ecart do I do create the catalog? I am using GoDaddy which doesn't want to load mysql connections into Dreamweaver so it seems I am stuck with a static database? Help!

a static cart is one that does not use a database for the product catalog.

In a static shop, you would create a unique page for each item you wish to sell.

On each of the item pages, you would add an eCart Add to Cart button server behavior.

On the bindings tab of the add to cart server behavior, add the static information for that particular item.

If you wish to create a Dynamic (database driven) cart, you would need to set up a local testing server for development. Once the pages where developed, you would upload the pages and database to the GoDaddy servers. At this stage, you would edit the database connection to use the GoDadday settings.

See the learning resources page for tutorial on setting up a testing server, configuring the Dreamweaver site and managing your live database settings.
