Is iRite CS5 compatible?

Thread began 8/11/2010 11:16 am by Sally | Last modified 8/12/2010 7:52 am by Jason Byrnes | 1292 views | 3 replies |

Sally

Is iRite CS5 compatible?

I am using UE 3.07 with iRite 1.03. I have not changed anything on my email forms for over a year, but I have upgraded to CS5 from CS3.

When I try to open any forms with iRite in CS5 to edit them, I get an error "While executing timer in WA Universal Email.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred: At line 425 of the file "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver\CS5\Configuration\ServerModels\ASP_JS\dwscriptsServerImpls.js":getDocumentDOM:Agrument number 1 is invalid

Line 425 says
var rsDOM = dreamweaver.getDocumentDOM(dreamweaver.getConfigurationPath() + "/DataSources/ASP_JS/Recordset.htm");

I do have one form without the iRite and can open that in CS5. I can open all of them in CS3. Is there a fix for this or must I remove iRite?

Thank you.

No, iRite is not CS5 compatible, neither is Universal Email 3.

you should keep Dreamweaver CS3 installed to be able to use the previous versions of the extensions.

Thanks for your reply.

Looking over my sites, I'm finding other issues with WA extensions like Security Assist - they work in CS3 but not CS5.

Am I correct that I cannot upgrade to a newer version of UE and my SuperSuite programs since I am using ASP?

If so, I would really hope you reconsider dropping support for ASP. I've invested a fair bit of money in WA products, and now am stuck since my hosting package is Windows and not supporting PHP.

The latest version of Security Assist does Support CS5, that is version 1.1.9.

You are correct, Universal Email 4 does not support ASP.

Any New versions of products that we release will not support ASP, you can still use the previous version of the products to develop your aps site, but new versions, for instance Security Assist 2 instead of 1, will not support ASP.
