Table Joins

Table Joins

I am new to WA, I have just purchased the Dynamic Suite. I am using DataAssist to create a repeating table to display products. When I set up my database, I created two tables and use a join to select the data.

It would appear that DA does not have a dialog function to call the join, (please correct me if I am wrong).

My question is, would it be better to create the repeating tables, then go in and hand code the join in witht php, or would it be better (read:easier) to create another column in the DB table that would call the information from the other joined table. (It is only one column of information I need).?

Of course if there is a bettter way, I would love to hear it as well.

For the sake of simplicity it would be easier to add in the other column and use only the default interfaces within DataAssist to create a set of pages for managing this information.

If the only time the joining data would be used is on the search and results pages then you could also just update the recordset that is used on the results page to be a join type of query. It should have about the same effect.
