Deleting btns from site assist php pages

Hi
I can delete the nav bar from the site assist index page.
On all the other pages the arrorw turns into circle with a diagonal line through it, like a stop sign. How do I make the nav bars editable?

To edit the other pages, you need to edit the template.

Look in the templates folder for the Site Assist template, you can make global changes to the template that will be applied to all of the pages that are based on that template.

Hi and thank you Jason
On the site set up I changed the html to 4.1 transistional from I think, 1.0 strict.
The siteassistpro_template.dwt.php doe's indeed delete the btns.
