Back in May, Michael Leske enthused:

WebAssist is Dedicated to the Developer

WebAssist is dedicated to the web developer and to building extensions that are focused on helping you do your job better, faster. We are now providing a small window to view some of the extensions we are building over the coming months. With ADDT being deprecated from Dreamweaver CS5, WebAssist is working towards making sure that
we provide similar technology that was lost with even more flexibility and ease of use. We hope to continue to build upon this page to offer insights as to what's in store for the developer.

That was almost three months ago Michael, There's nothing new on the building site.

Hi Ray,

DataGrid is chronologically the last thing on that roadmap. It won't be available for several months . . . Since we aren't completely done with our planning I really can't give a final feature list or definitive answer as to what it will incliude or when it will be available for sure.

Is there any news?

We actually just released the Framework Builder extension today. DataGrid we still haven't bugun... in fact we have decided to do a new version of DataAssist first, so we won't have more information on DataGrid until the DataAssist update is complete.

Ray: Wouldn't Data Grid work hand in hand with DataAssist!

I hate always bringing up Interakt and ADDT - but they handled data with Nextensio Lists/Forms. 2 pages (a list and a form) did everything that Data Assist did, and I believe the premise of "Data Grid" was thought of around that.

I don't think they should be considered separate items! Integrate them!

Just my 2 cents!

Our strategy has typically been to create the stand alone version, and then integrate it into the larger wizards at a later date.

We will likely create a stand alone version first and work out all of the kinks, then come back and integrate it into DataAssist where it will eventually live for the long term.
