CC and BCC Fail

CC and BCC Fail

Hello,

I have UE 4 working both on a local test server and my ISP. I am getting mail when I submit the form and the mail is also logging in a database so it seems that basically all is working. However, I have specified a CC and BCC and I have never gotten mail to those addresses, neither from my local/testing server nor the ISP server.

I found an identical incident @ showthread.php?t=9196&highlight=BCC+fail but no solution was posted there. I followed the steps there and added the die() function and, as did the other user, I am getting empty strings for $MailCC and $MailBCC. What is surprising is that if instead of the die() function at this point in the WAEU_xxx file I assign email addresses to these two variables, I still don't get email to those addresses. What is wrong here?

Thanks.

Can you post back with the page that has the UE server behavior applied to it as well as a copy of the webassist folder from your site root. I would like to take a look at how you have it setup and do some testing directly with your pages.

Hi Eric,

I'm happy to supply you with the files but is there a way I can get them to you privately since I'd rather not expose the client's info?

Thanks.

Was this issue resolved? I am having the same bcc and cc problem as described. I am using a local testing server.

In my case, the problem was that during testing (for the CC and BCC addresses) I was using the same email address as the target address I was (expecting to get three emails). It appears that my ISP's mail system refuses to send duplicate emails. Also, as a variation of this problem, if I used email addresses for CC and BCC that are defined as aliases for a real address and use the real address as the target email, the ISP's mail system again sees these as duplicates and doesn't send them. Once I started using three different, "real" addresses I started getting the CC and BCC. Hope this is your problem also since it's an easy fix.
