PowerStore 3 Category Management

Hi, just started working on PowerStore 3. I initially made 3 main categories (Basics, Swim, Sale, and Sale had subcategories of Dresses, Tops, Swim, Bottoms. But my client needed them changed, because the BASICS section would not be ready in time for launch in Sept. So I deleted the categories and started new. I tried to setup new categories with the category names that were previously in the subcategory (DRESSES, TOPS, SWIM, BOTTOM)-- tried to put in the first one - DRESSES, and the message said that its already a category, but I don't see it in the list? Is there somewhere on the site that I can delete these categories? There is nothing in them?

How can I manage categories -- because I will be needing to change these as time goes by.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!!

These values are held in the ps3_categories table in your db. If you need to you can edit them directly here. You should be able to go into the manage categories section though to remove them from here. If they are sub categories you will need to go to the categories section and choose the manage sub categories link on this page for the main category they are under.
