back button on product pages

I was looking at this site made with powerstore:

AboutUs.php

I noticed that if you click on say for example "game calls" on the left and then click on the different sub categories a "previous page" link shows up....

I dont have this link but would like to have one.... is that a possibility

this person just added a link to use some js to go to the previous page like this:

<a href="javascript:history.go(-1)">Go to Previous Page</a>

ok cool..,... i have noticed that with js using the browser back button goes all the way back... which makes sense

I also noticed that his did not work all the time.... is this an error on his part?

should the js solution you mentioned work all the time or only in certain situations?

what would you recommend?

This is just some basic js that should have the same effect as clicking on the back button, here is a page on the w3schools website with some more info:

met_his_back.asp

I use this site often as a reference and learning resource, it is very helpful.
