DataAssist Results page layout configuration

DataAssist Results page layout configuration

I'm curious to know if I can generate a results page (via the wizard) that lists the search results vertically versus horizontal?

I've noticed that all of the other pages that the wizard creates are laid out vertically. I spend a lot of time re-configuring my results pages from horizontal to vertical format.

Thank you!!!

Sure, What the wizard creates is a results page something like this:

First Name Last Name Address City Zip etc.

each one of the above listed fields are generated in a horizontal table with i.e. First Name in one cell and then Last Name in the next cell reading from left to right versus this layout:

First Name
Last Name
Address
City
Zip etc.

My goal is to not have to delete the table and then re-build and re-populate the dynamic fields by hand.

Thanks again!

Erick

do you mean you want 'blocks' of data repeating across the page, and then down, such as a 5 X 5 grid

Via the dataassist wizard, I don't think there is an option to do this, however, you can achieve it by creating a DataAssist Repeating Table

This may give you what you want

Insert-->Webassist-->DataAssist-->RepeatingTable

In the repeating table wizard, you get to specify the number rows and coulmns you want in your layout

EL: Yes that is what I would like to do, a grid that is 2 columns wide by 30 rows high. I appreciate the tip on the repeating table i'll give that a try.

Thanks again!!!
