Bad Formatting of Results Page..

Bad Formatting of Results Page..

After running the DataAssist wizard - and adding a single item to the database successfully - we're shown the results page. When running the wizard, we selected the "content" section of the template - to place the data there. And it does. However, the formatting is bizarre - buttons are cut off or invisible.. etc.

See the attached screen capture.

This dataassist programming is being inserted into a rather common siteassist created page.

How can we correct this?

add an overflow: hidden property to the div that the data assist table is being inserted to.

Excellent.. that worked well.

Well.. it would seem that I have to revisit this. I created another DataAssist page, and the results page is doing the same thing. However, this time when I add the "overflow: hidden" attribute, it does nothing. I've tried entering it into the div before and after the table as well.. nothing.

So.. I recreated the pages again, from scratch.. deleting both the local and server side copies of the old pages. Same thing.

Suggestions?

Also.. why can't the DataAssist page simply not do this? Since it is asking for the template area to insert the code.. it must know how to interact with that area.. yes?

What i suspect with datasist it adds the ccs list and forms in a aproximated 500 width pixel div i just changed those size on any sites where i used ccs scuplture with right or left content divs and everything fits but i had to change the size manually

i have come across this issue before with DataAssist, when a results table is placed into a 2 column page.

in the .WADAResultsTable, try changing clear:both to clear:right

and see what you get

If the suggestion from CraigR does not work, please post a link where we can investigate to give a more definitive answer.

Was this something that you simply changed in CSS somewhere to generally handle all pages? Or was this a manual change in each page it created?

Thanks for the response...
