Help with Urgent Shipping Problem

Our cart is configured with UPS shipping , but some of the items we offer do not require shipping. (online classes being one of them)

I need precise instructions on how to configure the cart ASAP. The cart is live and customers are being charged shipping -

We must solve this issue today.

set the weight for items that should not be included with the shipping quote to 0.

also make sure that the UPS shipping behavior does not have a failed redirect set.

I have tried having a '0' in weight, and still got directed to UPS based on the zip code I get shipping charges

the UPS shipping rate is based on the total weight of the cart. If the weight of an item is set to 0, and it is the only item in the cart, the shipping lookup will fail.

Keep in mind that the shipping rate is stored in a session variable.

When testing the shipping rate lookup, you will need to close the browser completely to start a new browsing session and clear the previous shipping rate value.
