Preview image before upload in form

Preview image before upload in form

Any ideas on how to preview an image before it is uploaded? DataAssist is working well for me along with the file uploader. But I am searching for a way to preview a user selected image in the form before it is sent. As in, the user clicks on "choose file", they select their file, and once it is selected, the image loads as a thumb in the form. It creates a better user experience. Then, once the user has selected all their images, they submit the form and the files are uploaded. Any help on how I could accomplish this would be helpful.

The closest thing I could find was here: form-with-image-preview. But I copied the code from that site, but I could only get it to partly work.

DataAssist and File Upload dfo not support previewing the image before it is uploaded. It would require hand coding javascript to show the selected image on the page, but we cannot offer support for this.

I understand. Is there a resource or website who's direction you could point me in?

No, I do not have a resource other than Google.
