UE4 is not working on remote server

UE4 is not working on remote server

I carefully followed the steps in UE Getting Started Guide. Everything looked good, but when I put everything on the remote server, it didn't work. Although I can see the email log in my localhost PHPAdmin nothing appears in my hosts PHPAdmin.

I have a .php page having a simple form with a button to distribute mail with an attachment. When I test this live, nothing is sent. I'm at a loss. I don't even know what else to post here that might be helpful.

As a test, could you please create a php page and add a very simple Email with a trigger to be "before page load". This should tell us if your liver server have an email server.

please post back to further assist you.

Thanks Dani, Did as you said and it worked with a static "to". I used a recordset that specified only the email address column from my database. It seems that that may be where I'm having the difficulty. Perhaps the UE behavior that connects to the database and the fact that the email log failed to load might be an indicator. I didn't bother to request a log on this test.

Try replace all instances of "Distribution Trigger" with "Distribution_Trigger". I believe the space is not allowed in form post variables.

Dani, Did as you suggested. When I went live and tried the trigger page, I got this message:

"Warning: require(Block_2.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/davcow9/InnerchoicePublishing.com/webassist/email/mailformatting_php.php on line 139

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'Block_2.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/davcow9/InnerchoicePublishing.com/webassist/email/mailformatting_php.php on line 139"

Is this from the test we ran yesterday? Block_2 is the email attached to that test.

The error indicates that the file is either not uploaded to your server or the reference to that file is incorrect, please make sure that the Block_2.php file is uploaded to your server.

I don't think the error is related to the test we ran, but if Block_2.php is the page you selected for your template, you will need to upload the page to your server.
