PS Credit Card Trans and Shipping Issues

Hello,

All funtionality seems to be working fine; and what I mean by that is the following:

- I can select a product for purchase, select paypal button, then reject paypal gateway and go back to site for credit card entry.
- Enter Credit Card info and submit the order, which seems to be accepted by PS because
emails are generated by PS to customer However...

I am do not know where the credit card info is being sent; it does not credit paypal so I am not sure that it is sending the information anywhere.. I kinda of thought if the customer were to not want paypal but to enter their credit card info, it still went to paypal account for crediting but I am not seing any money credited to my paypal. I believe all of my paypal info is setup correctly for API. What am I missing ?

Also, when the item totals show up in the cart, no shipping cost are calculated or show up in the cart or final billing totals. I do have FedEx Express setup and PS seems to have accpeted my shipping information because I get no errors but no cost show up in the final billing totals. What am I missing ?

Any ideas for either of these issues.

For the shipping you will only see this on the confirm page once the shipping has been triggered. If you have setup your PowerStore to use PayPal Payments Pro then both credit card and PayPal transactions should be processed by PayPal.

If you are not seeing any transactions for the credit cart purchases then you may have the checkout in test mode. You should check your settings in the admin area to ensure that it is not in test mode and that you are not using the sandbox. Once you confirm this you should be able to test with a credit card and confirm the details of the transaction and see it posted to the PayPal account.

Shipping Issues

Hello Eric,

Thanks for the reply.

Good news.. I got the Credit Card funtionality working and am now receiving payments into my paypal account.

However,

The shipping funtionality is still not working; maybe you can help me get this corrected as well.

Description:

When I go to pay for an item and enter my CC information and enter the ship to address, I then proceed with clicking the "check out" button, once is goes to the summary page for total price varificaiton and final "submitting" it is not calculating the shipping cost and putting it into the total price (I assume that is what it is suppose to do ?) but again, there is no shipping value showing up.

I had selected FedEx Express and I have obtained a FedEx account and a meter # by accually speaking to FedEX and have entered those but it is still not working.

Any suggestions ? Do I need to do anything with the FedEX Account itself.

Also note that I do have the Shipping "Enabled" (checked).

Is your confirm page and the cart files the defaults that come with PowerStore? If so you should be getting a shipping charge on your confirm page. Please post back with this confirm page in a zip archive so that I can take a look to see if there is something wrong.

Yes Sir, the confirm page and ecart are stock, nothing has been modified.

I am not the most computer savy, but I think I attached the Confirm file as you request.

The page seems perfectly fine to me in regards to the FedEx shipping code that is on the page. Do you have a link to the live site where this can be seen? I would like to see what the confirm page looks like under different test conditions to help determine what the problem might be. Also, do all of your products have a weight associated with them?

Good News ! I got it to work with a UPS account... so I really have no preference regarding FedEX, so UPS will do just fine.

Question:

Does the shipping funtionality from the website only go out an get a shipping cost for me via the location of the customer so I know the correct shipping amount is charge to customer or does it do more; meaning once the customer purchases an item is any information then sent to my UPS Account showing that an item needs to be shipped to the customer or will I now have to go in and enter the customer ship-to information into my UPS Acct on my own and schedule the shipment seperately ?

I also wanted to say Thank You for the quick responses over the past few days... I appreciate it.

I'm glad to hear that you got some shipping working. The shipping in PowerStore is just a shipping quote from the provider based on the source, destination, package size and weight. It will not register any shipments for you automatically, you will need to do that yourself manually still.
