Control characters appearing in text

Hi
I'm getting control characters (eg <br>) inserted in my text which I don't want.
Not sure what I'm edoing wrong

I've got use <br> for return checked and clean wysiwyg cleaned also checked

The field being updated is defined as longtext

I've got a test page which shows the problem
test.php?id_mnu=1

Any help appreciated
Thanks
Clive

edit the HTML editor instance. You will need to rebind the Initial value to remove any formatting.

In the Initial value section, click the lightning bolt and select the recordset column that should be used, make sure the formatting is set to none.
