Validation Error in IE8

IE8 is showing an error in the following code

<form action="" method="post" name="form1" id="form1" onSubmit="WAValidateRQ([],'- Entry is required',[],0,true,'checkbox');WAAlertErrors('The following errors were found','Correct invalid entries to continue',true,document.getElementById('false'),false);return document.MM_returnValue">

This appears to be a validation script on a piece of code on a page that generates an email.

What effect is this error having on the page? The code in the form tag is a set of calls to client side validation functions. If the error is just informational and not affecting the functionality of the page it is one that can be ignored.
