Site Sculptor Inserting <br> instead of <br />

When putting content on the site <br> is inserted instead of <br />. How do I correct this?
My pages are xhtml transitional and some xhtml strict. This is causing with w3c validation.

Thanks Larry

this is a limitation of the FCKEditor that is used in the CMS Portion Site Sculptor, it will not generate XHTML compliant code.
