Dreamweaver crashes when adding an attachment with UE4

Hi,

Having upgraded to UE4, I now find that Dreamweaver CS4 crashes when I try to add an attachment. This happens when I click on the 'add' button in the attachment section, before I can even choose an attachment.

Tried with both an existing script and with a new one, tried it after deleting the WinFileCache, tried to reinstall UE4, nothing makes a difference.

Hoping that you can help.

Thanks.

Pascal

Did you uninstall UE3 from the extension manager before installing UE4? When installing a new version of an extension, you must first uninstall the previous version.

Try uninstalling UE4 from the extension manager, then delete the cache file and installing once again.

If you still have an issue, try following step 2 from the following page:

Hi Jason,

Thank you for your reply.

It is a clean install of the extension on a clean install of Dreamweaver on a clean install of Windows 7 :)

The only way it will work is if I add the code for an attachment manually, as in

//Attachment Entries
$WA_MailObject = WAUE_AddAttachment($WA_MailObject,"".$SavePath .".pdf");

only then, can I manage attachments via the UE interface for this particular message without crashing Dreamweaver.

Tried to access the ipvac adress you gave, but the site/page could not load.

how are you entering the $SavePath variable in the wizard?

try entering like this:
<?php echo SavePath; ?>.pdf

Hi Jason,

I don't even get to enter the path in UE as Dreamweaver crashes as soon as I press the 'add' button.

Basically, I click on the icon for attachments, click on the 'add' link => Dreamweaver crashes.

If I manually enter the $WA_MailObject line (the one given is only an example), then I can manage the attachment in UE and DW doesn't crash.

This means that if an attachment already exists, all is fine. If it is a new form with no previous attachment, I can't add any unless I first manually add the $WA_MailObject line to the php file that has the parameters for that email message.
