DW, PHP & SQLite

anybody had any success connecting to SQLite using DW CS5 in PHP?

Unlike asp pages where you could use a custom connection string, as soon as DW sees a php model it assumes MySQL and won't allow a custom connection string.

I haven't used a SQLite database server before, but try adding a MySQL connection and fill in the server location for your SQLite server in the MySQL server input box.

Give that a try and see if it works?

Is there a reason you can't use a MySQL database?

I've tried some variations on that theme, but no joy.

Yeah, trashcan of snakes came down today. We're looking at an iPhone/Pad app that uses and stores SQLite inline and then passes updates via WiFi to and from a website, where the program will have a full DOM interface, preferably PHP.

Xcode for this project is fairly straight forward, but I don't know if there is a way to stick an on-the-fly file comparison/updater kinda tool in between SQLite and MySQL.

I'm way outta my depth.

Unfortunately, I can be of no help on this as well, since one of the requirements for using PHP and DataAssist is to use the MySQL server.

just thought I'd ask

ok, just thought I'd ask. we're deep in xcode and c++ for the ifon and have drifted way from webwork, but now people are wanting the web side too.

There are some translators you can buy, but they're more a stand alone app, not like a style sheet you can drop in between the two data bases like you can with an xslt for xml.

tnx

I hope you're able to get it working. Sorry I wasn't able to be of more assistance on the topic.

just thought I'd ask. We've got an Expert's Exchange corporate account. I'll go check over there. Some of those guys will work harder to get points than they'll ever work to get money ;->
