Wholesale

I have a site that was set up using Power Store 2 and I need to add a wholesale section for retailers to it and I'm not sure how to go about it.

1) Wholesalers need to be able to login
2) They need to have separate pricing/quantities on items than regular consumer accounts

I found this:

"If you have SecurityAssist you can use the conditional region to show one price if they are logged in as members and another if they are not.

You would have to probably add a column to the cart and store both prices... that way you could change prices after they add to cart if they log in later. Then you could add a calculation or rule depending on how you want to display the discount to the user."

But need more details.... There is already a login for regular users - how do I differentiate a separate login for wholesalers. I assume that I would need to add another field to the db - and then I would need to be able to add to the admin section so that the info can be input there....

Anyway, I'm not sure where to start. Perhaps I would be better off mirroring the site and sending users off to an entirely different site?

Hmm....

Power Store does not support having separate prices for different users. mirroring the site and sending users off to an entirely different site will be the best bet for accomplishing this in power store.
