class .alignField problem

I am using an image add to cart button and have applied the .alignField
.alignField {margin-bottom:7px;}
to the quantity text field. It aligns in IE7 but not in google chrome or safari nor IE8?
also added the IE rendering
<!--[if IE]>
<style>
.alignField {margin-bottom:5px; }
</style>
<![endif]-->

I do have an option select in the add to cart form, if that may affect it.
and i have cell padding of 10 for the table.

thanks for your help,

Put a table around the fields and add them to two separate cells in the same row. This will fix all of your alignment issues.
