Surveyor Software Big - Won't Crawl Site

Surveyor Software Big - Won't Crawl Site

I am trying to create a sitemap file using surveyor. I have followed the instructions to a T, using the local & remote styles of sitemap, but after hitting the Finish Button, Surveyor simply stops working & wont actaully survey my site. I have tried creating HTML & XML versions of a sitemap, same problem, Surveyor just gets frozen.

How can I get surveyor to actually scan my site?

Are you surveying a local site or a site that is hosted on a server?

If you're surveying a hosted site, can you send me the url? I'd like to test the surveying of the site. Then I can give you further details on how to get your site surveyed and a sitemap generated for you.

Also, are you saving the sitemap to your local hard drive or to a network drive?

As i stated in my first post I have tried both methods.

I am trying to Survey www.logomatcentral.com

I am trying to save the sitemap file to the root directory of my site.

The sitemap generated just fine when I tried it. I've attached the results.

This is what I did:
Open up surveyor by going to this menu Insert->WebAssist->Surveyor->XML Site Map.
Use the default selected Create from site option and click next.
Enter www.logomatcentral.com/ in the Web Address.
The Sitemap is stored in a site that is saved to a local hd.
Changed the maximum pages to 1000 from 100 and hit finish.

Attached Files
sitemap.xml.zip

you explained to me the same thing that the help documentation did, however even though the file created "just fine" on your machine I am still having the same freezing difficulty that many users have had.

No matter which combination of options I choose, the software will not work.

I noticed in the many other posts having a similar issue that no resolve was ever listed.

Has anyone worked on a patch for this software bug?

I am going to be completly stuck & look foolish for having had my boss buy this software. can i get a refund for my software that doesn't work?

dunnest go

Is there any guidance that can be given beyond the stock answer of do what the general instructions suggest? I have spent the entire day trying to get a site map done, my boss thinks I am incompitent & is giving me grief because I can't even update our site map. Like the others who have posted with this same issue I ask, Can this be resolved or is this just a fatal bug in the software?

So all I get in response is: It worked fine for me, Follow the directions? Really I hope there can be some guidance offered beyond that. That is not unreasonable to ask...I'm sure the Better Business Bureau & California Chamber of Commerce would agree with me.

Its unreasonable for you to expect an instant response time on your issue. We have our support hours and policy written out clearly that we'll get a response to you within 2 business days.

If we are unable to reproduce the issue, we can't really work on a fix for it.

I have opened a backend ticket to look into this issue with you. Please log in to your account and check your support history to access this ticket.

Glad we were able to get the issue squared away. It was just a simple deletion of the WinFileCache that fixed the issue.
