Javascript error when updating UE3 script with UE4

Hi,

Whenever I try to update/upgrade a existing script created with UE3 using UE4, I get the following error:

While executing timer in WA Universal Email.htm, the following JavaScript error occured:
At line 2765 of file "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\Configuration\Commands\WA Universal Email.js": document.Body.document.prevtab2 has no properties

Can you help?

Thanks

Pascal

Follow the steps outlined in the common installation issues to get to the configuration directory:
common_installation_issues.pdf

After that, go to the \Configuration\Commands\ directory and open the WA Universal Email.js file. Go to line 2765, which should look like this:
document.Body.document.prevtab2.style="border-top-width:2; border-left-width:2; border-right-width:2; vertical-align:top; border-top:solid; border-top-color:#D8CDAC; border-left:solid; border-left-color:#D8CDAC; border-right:solid; border-right-color:#D8CDAC; padding-left:3; padding-right:3; padding-top:3; padding-bottom:3;";

Add a line right before it that looks like this:
if(document.Body.document.prevtab2)

Thanks.

I am assuming that I need to use curly brackets, but am not sure where the closing one should be placed. Do you mean that it should be like:

if(document.Body.document.prevtab2) {
document.Body.document.prevtab2.style="border-top-width:2; border-left-width:2; border-right-width:2; vertical-align:top; border-top:solid; border-top-color:#D8CDAC; border-left:solid; border-left-color:#D8CDAC; border-right:solid; border-right-color:#D8CDAC; padding-left:3; padding-right:3; padding-top:3; padding-bottom:3;";
}

Or should the closing bracket be placed further down the script?

It only seems to work if I do it like that:

if(document.Body.document.prevtab2) {
document.Body.document.prevtab2.style="border-top-width:2; border-left-width:2; border-right-width:2; vertical-align:top; border-top:solid; border-top-color:#D8CDAC; border-left:solid; border-left-color:#D8CDAC; border-right:solid; border-right-color:#D8CDAC; padding-left:3; padding-right:3; padding-top:3; padding-bottom:3;";
document.Body.document.prevlink2.style="font-weight:810; color:#000000; text-decoration:none";
document.Body.document.prevlink1.style="color:#CCCCCC; text-decoration:none";
startPrevTab = 2;
}

Is that correct or will it have an impact on something else?

Yes, that should be the correct way to add the check. If you run into any additional errors, feel free to open a new thread.
