Uploading High Res Large files

Our website allows people to upload their wedding photos to us to make a photo book for them. These files are pretty large and we don't know how to allow them to upload them without a filesize restriction. Do you have any suggestions?

this is a php.ini settings issue. the following page details the php.ini settings that will effect the maximum file size:
wap_upload.asp?page=php2

bear in mind that there may be client limitations as well.

If the client connects to the internet using a slow connection, it is going to take quite a bit of time for a large file to upload to the server. this will need to be accounted for when setting the max execution time.

gotcha, so I upped the limit to 100mb and tried to upload some large files...about 30mb and it took about 4 minutes and then it quit. I tried about 20mb right before that and it worked. Is there a certain limit? Also, there's no way to know how the upload process is going, no percentage or loader icon so users and can see how much has been uploaded. Do you have anything like that?

if you look at the link I sent, there are a number of settings that need to be taken into account.

you could be running into a problem with the max input time, the max execution time, or even the post max size, each of the settings on that page will need to be evaluated to ensure that they are set to allow the resources needed for you file upload.
