Links not active

I have created a set of search pages using Data Assist Wizard. They work nicely, but when the information from the database is listed on the detail page, links to external sites are not active. Does anyone know what I can do to make these active links?

Do you just have the thepage text on your page where the link should be?

If so you will just need to add in the <a tag like this:

php:
<a href="<?php echo $row_YourRS['the column'?>"><?php echo $row_YourRS['the column'?></a>

You will need to add this into the code view. It is just a link but the href is set to the value from the db.

<td class="WADADataTableCell"><a href="<?php echo $row_WADACommunities.Fields.Item["Contact_Website"]?>"><?php echo $row_WADACommunities.Fields.Item["Contact_Website"]?></a></td>

So all that appears on the webpage is the "> so it makes me think I am overlooking a typo or something?
