Security Assist sessions dying

Security Assist sessions dying

Hi folks,

I'm running Security Assist with no real problems but something weird is happening. Users who leave the browser running but idle (not clicking around) find themselves getting logged off after about 40 minutes or so.

My understanding is that the session is supposed to persist until the user closes the browser. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Sessions will be terminated after a set period of inactivity. The allowed period of inactivity is set in the php.ini file.

See the following post on webmasterworld.com for more details:

Thanks, Jason.

I had already altered the php.ini settings (first thing I thought of) before posting here.

Let me re-state the question slightly. Does Security Assist specify a time-to-live anywhere in its code? I've looked through the files and I think the answer is no, which points me back to my PHP config for further troubleshooting :(

No, Security Assist does not have any code to set the session time to live, it is all controlled by the php server.
