No "Add a new page" + sign in content manger

My apologies in advance if this has been answered with in the site already. I have searched though have not found the answer.

I am new to webassist, php, and websites in general. I started with Site Sculptor and everything worked as plan. I have been able to work through all of the issues. I am about to turn over the content management to my partner but I am unable to locate the green + sign that allows for a new dynamic page to be build in the content management section. I follow the instruction in the help section, but can't seem to find it.

Any advice?

And is content management and PowerCMS2 the same thing?

Thanks in advance.

If you are not seeing the green plus icon, it is because you did not select the "use as content management template" checkbox in Site Sculptor. You will need to recreate your site in Site Sculptor, but this type click the Site Type 'Define' button and select the page you wish to use as a template and choose this option.

And is content management and PowerCMS2 the same thing?

No. The content management feature in Site Sculptor is a limited version of what you get with PowerCMS 2. Site Sculptor's CMS is client-focused, and does not have multiple users, or a SuperAdmin/Admin concept. Also not included in the Site Sculptor content management feature is the ability to add or delete any content locations, as well as view the Developer Notes.

However, because Site Sculptor created the site, it is able to provide some more user friendly features that many clients will appreciate. For example, a link to 'View Page' is available for every page in the content management and this will open that page of your site. Also, a 'Page Optimization' feature is available for all pages and allows you to specify a Page Title and meta-data to improve SEO.

Attempted

Neil,

Thank you for the quick reply. I did as requested, rebuilt the site. As you can see from the attached file I did click the box. Though I still do not have the ability to add a new page (second attached file).

Any other reasons why this isn't working? Anything else to attempt?

Thanks again.

Joel,

Thanks for the screenshot - very helpful.

What's happening is that the checkbox you are selecting simply makes sure that the CMS is built. If that checkbox is not selected, the CMS will not be included with your site.

The checkbox i am referring to is "Use as a content management template" which is available when you click Define next to the Site Type menu and you will see the option at the bottom of the next UI. Here's a screenshot of what you are looking for: ss-01.png

Almost

Neil,

It worked. The plus sign now shows up only on the Home page item on the left. Thank you!!!

My next question is when I add a new page. It only shows up after the Home page, even if I have highlighted one of the other pages. Should it not have indented the new page under the structure that I request? or is this something that has to be done manually?

Thanks for helping.

Joel
